Our Dinghy

We have a 10' Port-a-bote folding dinghy and we love it.

It has it's quirks and a small design flaw but overall we wouldn't have another style of dinghy.

It's super tough, we drag it over rocks and coral. It folds up and slids nicely along the side of the boat when underway.  It weighs 28kg so easy to lift up with a hayard.

It rows really well.....yes our engine packed it in one day and I had to row for a bit.

The only real complaint we have is with the seats.  They are a bit too brittle when they should either flex a bit or be a lot stronger then they are.

Leaving the dinghy in the rain might have contributed to the seats breaking.  As you can see in the photo above the weight of the half full dinghy is putting alot of pressure on the seats centre stay forcing it upward.

Overall though she's a beaut.
